Forum Centre City Mall is a shopping mall located in the South Indian city of Mysore, Karnataka. It is the largest and the first of its kind shopping mall in Mysuru. The mall is owned and operated by Bengaluru-based real estate giant Prestige Group and is located in the Nazarbad area of Mysore. It has over 50 boutique branded shops abd 15+ cuisinie, multiplex and gaming arcade all under one roof, and is the biggest  mall in Mysore yet.

Recognized as the second tallest church of Asia, St. Philomena’s Church was constructed to pay tribute to the Catholic Saint and martyr of Roman Catholic Church, Saint Philomena. It is one of the most important historical sites in Mysore and is frequently visited by tourists from all over the country.

One of the best zoological gardens in India, it was established in the year 1892 by Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar for the royals and handed over to the Department of Parks and Gardens of the State Govt on attaining freedom. Along with being home to various species of birds, mammals and reptiles, this zoo also engages in captive breeding of exotic and endangered species.

Mysore Palace is an extremely breath-taking example ofthe Indo-Sarcenic style of architecture. It was built in the year 1912 for the24th Ruler of the Wodeyar Dynasty, and is till date one of the biggest palacesin the country.

Karanji Lake placed in Mysore Karnataka, is surrounded by a nature park comprising of a butterfly park and an aviary which is the biggest ‘walk-through aviary’ in India. Also a museum named, the Regional Museum of Natural History is placed on the banks of this lake. The area over which the Karanji lake spans is of 90 hectares. Built in the year 1921, Lalitha Mahal is the second largest palace in Mysore. It was built at the orders of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV of Mysore for stay of the then Viceroy of India. The architecture of the grand palace was inspired by St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, making it one of the most remarkable structure to grace the landscape of the city.

Also known as Ganapati Sachidananda Ashrama. It is an International Spiritual, Cultural and Social Welfare organisation. The ashrama offers many services and attractions like Yoga center, Bonsai garden, Shuka vana (the rehabilitation center for birds), meditation music etc.

The Museum is located near to railway station, The major attraction of the museum is the wagon used by Queen of Mysore. There is a small Toy Train. The museum is small one and can be visited while arriving or leaving Mysore during working hours.

Built atop the Chamundi Hills, is the Chamundeshwari Temple , dates back to the 12th century. The idol of the main deity is made of gold. Also featured in this temple is a intricately engraved seven storey Gopuram and a silver plated entrance.

Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary AKA Pakshi Kashi of Karnataka in Srirangapatna is a haven for a wide array of bird species. It is the largest bird sanctuary in the state and comprises of six small islands on the banks of the river Kaveri.

Lingabudi Lake is a freshwater lake. Built in 1828 by Mysore king Krishnaraja Wodeyar III, this lake is the one of the oldest lakes in Mysore. It is also considered to be the largest lake of Mysore with an area of 260 acres.

A great picnic spot, Mahadevpura is a quiet, small village in Srirangapatna. The place is a famous spot for its beautiful nature scapes, forest scenes and adventurous events. Cauvery flows through the thick forest which covers  the surroundings, giving it a very picturesque look.

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple situated in Srirangapatna is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Ranganatha.

Sri Rangapatna Fort is situated in the town of Srirangapatna which was the capital of the Mysore state under the legendary king Tipu Sultan.

Balmuri Falls is situated in the village of Balmuri, 16 kms away from Mysore. Edumuri falls is about 1 km from Balmuri Falls. The 6-feet-tall waterfall is a man made stretch of cascading water formed by the check-dam on River Cauvery. It is a popular picnic spot for the people of Mysore and Bangalore.

Daria Daulat Bagh also known as Tipu’s Summer Palace is located in Srirangapatna

Gumbaz is the Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, situated at Srirangapatna. The Gumbaz was built by Tipu Sultan in 1782-1784 AD as the final resting place for his parents. Tipu was allowed to be buried here by the British, after his death in the Siege of Srirangapatna in 1799.

This is situated on the banks of the Cauvery river, upstream of Sangama. It is an ideal spot for picnics and many movie scenes have been shot at this location. A temple dedicated to Sri Kashi Visweswara swamy is located on the banks.

Sri Nimishamba Temple is located at Ganjaam on the banks of river Cauvery. There is a belief that Goddess Parvathi clears off all the troubles of her devotees within a minute here and that is why the goddess is called Nimishamba (Nimisha means one minute).

Karighatta Hill is situated at an altitude of 2,697 feet. Atop the hill is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Built across the Kaveri river, by Krishnaraja Wodeyar. Spread over 60 acres of land and modeled after the Shalimar gardens of Kashmir. The beauty of these gardens multiplies in the evenings when the fountains light up in various colors.

The Lord Shiva temple town is known as the Southern Kashi and the temple was built during the Ganga period but renovated by the Wodeyars. Shrines dedicated to various other Gods and Goddesses are there inside the temple.

Kunti Betta is a picturesque hill situated in Pandavapura Taluk of Mandya district in Karnataka. This place Pandavapura was named after the Pandavas who had been here during their exile days.

Located on the banks of Cauvery River, The Somnathpur temple is famous for its elaborate and intricate sculptures.

Situated on River Kaveri, Shivanasamudra is among the popular Tourist places in Karnataka. The island of Shivanasamudra divides Kaveri River into two parts that form two waterfalls, one is Gaganachukki and the other is Bharachukki.

Famous for the Bahubali Statue which is supposed to be the tallest monolithic stone statue in the world with a height of 58 feet carved out of a single block of granite.

Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta is a medium size hill situated in the core zone of Western Ghats,  covered with mist for most parts of the year and hence the first part of the name is Himvad meaning mist

Golden temple is located in Bylakuppe which is the second largest Tibetan settlement outside Tibet. Located around 80 km away from Mysore, it is a place worth visiting. Established by His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche in 1933, this monastery presents a sere spiritual atmosphere along with a captivating architecture.
Also, not far from here lies the district of Kodagu, where in lies the hill town of Madikeri (Coorg) which houses its own set of unique attractions , and is about 120 km from Mysore and jsut 40 km  from Bylakuppe.

One of the best wildlife sanctuaries in India. Nagarhole is situated to the north-west of Bandipur National Park which are separated by Kabini reservoir. The park has rich forest cover, small streams, hills, valleys and waterfalls. Inside the park coracle boat riding facility is available in Kabini River.
